Derek M. Trombetta

Derek has been involved with Health and Fitness for nearly his entire life; including playing Sports through the College Level, competing in numerous Bodybuilding and Fitness Competitions, Weight Training, Program Design, Personal Training, Fitness/Life Coaching, Contest Preparation, Founding and Managing Gyms, and Founding and Managing Nutrition Stores! If you want to know the best way to climb a mountain, ask someone who travels the path daily! He has traveled the path daily for 30+ years and enjoys showing others the way!

He is also a Retired Professional Firefighter and has a true passion for helping people! He is the Founder of 970Muscle and continuously inspired and grateful for the exceptional people that are truly living and loving their lives!

Growing up, I was introduced at an early age to the benefits and joy of leading an active and healthy lifestyle. That joy led me to playing many sports and earning a college scholarship for volleyball. Post college, I was fortunate to play volleyball overseas and discover more deeply my passion to help others with their health and fitness lifestyle.
My passion is to truly help you be the best that you can be in all aspects of life; mentally, physically, spiritually. I believe that with proper guidance, discipline, and a positive attitude, that YOU can succeed. I aim to show you this and help you reach your goals.

Today, I am fortunate to work full-time as a Fitness Lifestyle Coach. My programs include a 16-Week Body Transformation Program, Group Training, Bootcamp Class, Individual Nutrition and Exercise Programming, and Foundations to Fitness Youth Class. I would love to help you on your journey.

My name is Sharon Trombetta, a.k.a. Derek’s mom. I am fortunate to have been born in this beautiful state of Colorado and into a family with a great appreciation for being active and embracing all the great outdoors has to offer. My passion for health and fitness along with my physical therapy background allows me to assist people on their journey to a healthier life!

I enjoy an active lifestyle with an exuberance for hiking, running, yoga, snowshoeing, strength training, horseback riding, swimming, obstacle course races, and anything that involves being outdoors. I am always up for trying new activities, my determination and curiosity has me never turning down a challenge, or an opportunity for a new experience. Time and time again, I’m reminded of the positive effects exercise has on my own physical and psychological well-being, and my appreciation for what our bodies and minds can achieve. I want to share my enthusiasm, and encourage a happier and healthier lifestyle to everyone I encounter. I believe with the right training program, being surrounded by the right people, being surrounded by a caring, fun, encouraging and dynamic environment, along with a bit of determination and support you can and will achieve your goals!

Alecia Gordon

I’ve led an active lifestyle and have been very passionate about health and wellness my entire life. I began to learn about nutrition at an early age and encouraged my parents to eat healthier. When I was a kid, I used to ask my mom to buy me spinach :) I continue to read and study and learn more about nutrition and exercise each day. It is fascinating to me!

I am very fortunate to be able to work in the Health and Wellness Industry and to train my clients at a very special place called 970Muscle! What I absolutely love about our Facility is that everyone feels welcome… All ages and all fitness levels!! I am committed to helping my clients become healthier and to reach their fitness goals! I love to show people that age is just a number and that you can feel great and can be in the best shape of your life at any age! I am especially fond of seniors! We are all going to get older, but we do not have to become frail or sick. We can stay active, feel great and enjoy life well into our senior years!

Matt Hancock

My father introduced me to the weight room at 11 years old and I haven’t let a barbell go since! Being obsessed and captivated by strength and being yoked at a young age I took an interest in Bodybuilding, Powerlifting, Strongman and just general Hard and Heavy Training. This has led me to compete in Highland Games and Powerlifting. No rest for the wicked, I set my sights on furthering my strength and physique goals by competing in more Powerlifting Meets, Strongman and Bodybuilding.

The body cannot reach its full potential if the mind is not mastered. Willpower and Discipline are stronger than any muscle! Heavy Duty Strength is more than just moving massive weight. More than setting 1-rep maxes or toiling in the gym for hours on end increasing numbers. Become a stronger, more satisfied you; demolish preconceived notions and become boundless! Whatever strength is in you, we'll find it together, through discipline, hard work and true grit. Become a believer in yourself!

I am a Full-Time Strength Coach. Programming includes 12-Week Body Recomposition, Group Training, Athlete Development, and Individual Nutrition and Weight Training Programs.

Brandy Elliss

I grew up in Colorado and found as a child I loved activities that helped me to stay active, fit, strong, and healthy. Hiking, hunting, fishing and roaming the mountains of Southwest Colorado were a normal part of my young life. I also played a multitude of sports through high school and continued staying active and competitive in college through intramural sports and fitness training. I have continued this active lifestyle ever since, including competing in bodybuilding competitions, powerlifting meets, and many obstacle races. I am a very competitive and driven individual who likes to push myself and others.
I obtained by BA in Psychology Counseling and my Juris Doctorate in Law. I then spent 12 years in the practice of law in Colorado. However, I decided to pursue something that I was truly passionate about and became a Fitness Coach. I am so thrilled to be able to help others on their own fitness journey, assisting and encouraging them to see all that they are capable of accomplishing—both physically and nutritionally. I love Jesus and believe that we can do ALL THINGS through Christ!

Kathi Schnake

ACTIVE... That's the life I've been living for as long as I can remember. Growing up in the day when riding my bike, walking, or running to where I needed to go was just routine. Swimming, golf, indoor & outdoor activities with family & friends, casual group games of kickball, baseball, hopscotch or just good old run around the neighborhood helped shape the desire to live a healthy, active life. Organized sports were for the boys, so synchronized swimming was my sport in high school. Over the years, I've kept an active life and become more interested in getting to the gym to stay in shape, thanks to an encouraging push from my son & daughter, who are both Fitness Coaches.
HEALTH/NUTRITION... I've been on this journey for 30+ years. I started taking healthy food supplements when there were very few choices on the market. I've learned a lot over the years about the value of reading supplement and food labels and also enjoy reading books and articles on health & nutrition. A healthy diet is something I've worked on over the years, trying to keep our 3 kids on a healthy track as they grew up. Following a healthy nutrition plan continues to be part of my daily routine. I love that I can continue to study and learn about a field that is changing everyday!
RELATIONSHIPS...this is my passion and what I believe I was created for... #1 a relationship with God and out of this a relationship with others.

Being a part of the 970Muscle Team, gives me an opportunity to reach out to those around me, helping them as well as letting them help me!


James McCormick

To say that I have always been involved in Health and Fitness wouldn't be that true..Yes, I was a kid that played street basketball in D.C. and Denver. Parents loved Basketball and Football. Dad was in the school band and Mom was a cheerleader. But, when I hit the real real world into college, Basketball took a backseat for me. Was much easier to cram for tests and exams if I didn't leave the house. Then from that, became depressed and started to get unhealthy in life. Now telling a 20yr old James, "hey man all you need to do, is get back to what you love..." If you aren't listening, you cant hear..I actually sat at in a hotel one summer while the entire family went to Sea World. Fast Forward to 2002, when I took my life back. Focused on one credo, "It's never too late to become what you could've been..."Since then I have pushed myself, and can come from the aspect and the perception of being that guy in the weight room with no clue, being that guy in the group class or small group that had no idea what was going on. Now that is my drive. To match Members and Clients 100% and give all of myself and have them leave better than they came to me.

I have been involved with fitness in some way or another since I was in middle school; competing in bodybuilding, training, and learning the constantly changing fitness industry trends.I am very passionate about fitness and nutrition, as they can be developed to be vital tools in acquiring the lifestyle balance of health and happiness. I am equally passionate about mental and spiritual health, with the understanding that becoming strong and confident does not begin with developing physical strength.My training style involves a lot of physical and mental strength training, combining your developed mental strength, your progressive physical strength, and the proper nutrition or 'fuel' for your human body to feel as good as possible while we get you to your goals. With this combination of training, you will be set up not only for your short-term goals, but for a lifestyle change that will benefit the rest of your life! Working together, we can identify and replace daily habits that are holding you back from your destiny, and magnify the strengths and passions you possess that will take you to your next level!

C.J. Salazar

I’m a Colorado lover, born and raised, with a passion for Fitness and Health. Fitness has always been a part of my life in some way. Since I was 4 years old, I was in various forms of martial arts including, Kenpo and American Freestyle. With continuous study for the last 18 years, I achieved a 2 nd Degree black belt in Kenpo Karate and 1 st Degree in American Freestyle Karate. During my training, I competed in Sparing tournaments (Fighting)throughout Colorado. I am a 3-time Colorado State Fighting Champion. In addition to my martial arts training, through high school and college, I’ve trained for strength and power to become better at athletics (Basketball, Track & Field, Cheerleading) and health. I’ve always had a passion for fitness as well as helping others reach their untapped potential, physically and mentally. My style of training involves combining strength, power, and Self-Defense training. This mixture of training provides you with crucial skills for life, as well as incredible physical and mental health benefits. The combination of self-defense, with strength and power training not only gives you the physical benefits, but also empowers you through knowledge of how to protect yourself and others in everyday situations.
